Introduction

As one of the technical leaders within the city of Cincinnati GCWW was given the budget to craft a solution to improve its field force automation in a cost effective manner.

How Strategic Telecom Solutions Helped

 Through the consultative approach employed by STS GCWW has not only met it’s initial goals but has also expanded the initial scope of the project to meet additional customer service goals and interfaces with legacy systems.

GCWW’s field workers no longer require a paper manifest to start their day. Now they have their entire day’s schedule and jobs all organized on their MC75. The workers can then capture data wirelessly from the field and send this data in near real time back to the offices. Workers no longer have to fill out paperwork upon their return to the office as the process has been automated all on the handset.

Other departments within in the city have followed GCWW’s lead and have implemented mobile management solutions with the help of STS. GCWW has presented a blueprint for other departments to follow thus reducing risk and trepidation for implementing mobile management solutions. STS has worked with these departments to leverage the best practices from GCWW to ensure successful wireless implementations for departments like parking, recreation, and others.
